Program Description:

Newschwanstein CastleGermany Cross-Cultural Course 2021

An examination of the culture of Germany with emphasis on the Lutheran heritage, contemporary German cultural identity, and the cultural and historical significance of Germany. Students will live in German homes, receive German language instruction, and visit sites associated with Martin Luther. Students will also visit Dresden, Berlin, Munich, Sachsenhausen concentration camp, Neuschwanstein castle, and Salzburg, Austria.

Estimated Course Fee: $4,400

Faculty Biography:
John Beaney is Professor of Modern Languages at Messiah College, where he has taught since 1987. Dr. Beaney has a Ph.D. in comparative literature from Purdue University and has taught French, German, and Spanish at Messiah College. He has led numerous Messiah College cross-cultural courses, and has taken Messiah College students to Germany thirteen times.
